Cheryl L. Jakinovich

Cheryl L. Jakinovich is an associate at the firm who passionately represents clients in all areas of matrimonial and family law, including custody, child support, parenting time, spousal support, equitable distribution, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and modification proceedings. She counsels clients in all aspects of their proceedings while considering each client’s specific needs and the unique circumstances of each case. Cheryl works with clients to get to the heart of what is most important to them.  While Cheryl utilizes her negotiation skills in every case to assist clients in avoiding prolonged litigation, she is prepared to vigorously litigate on behalf of clients when a settlement cannot be reached.

Cheryl earned her B.A. from St. John’s University and her J.D. from New York Law School.  She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association.  Cheryl has co-authored an article pertaining to appellate practice.

Cheryl is a lifelong resident of Long Island.  She is a dedicated Islanders fan, and enjoys reading, playing volleyball and spending time with her niece and nephew.
